The annual convention of the Diocese of New Jersey will be held on March 9, 2024, at 9:00 am, both online and in person at Trinity Cathedral in Trenton. Registration opens at 7:30 am. This web page shall serve as the repository of information and documents related to the convention and will be frequently updated.
Diocesan Convention is a time when representatives around our diocese gather to share in the polity of the Church, upholding the common mission and ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ. All are welcome to join us as we worship, conduct business, view and listen to presentations.
Parishes should fill out and submit the form in the sidebar to certify their lay delegation and alternates to the Convention.
Financial Exhibits, Statistics, and Documents can be found here.
Attendees will be able to take part online or attend in-person. The site for in-person attendance will be Trinity Cathedral in Trenton. We will accommodate seating for voting members first. Plans are subject to change based on Covid-19 guidelines and community impact.
Voting will be performed electronically.
Attendees must bring their own devices for voting needs—iPads, phones, laptops, etc.
Note: Voting members refers to canonical clergy and elected/certified lay deputies eligible to vote. Non-voting participants refers to licensed clergy, alternates, and guests.
Non-voting members and guests may join the livestream on YouTube using a link made available closer to the date.
Lunch options are provided. Refreshments are available throughout the day.

Where can I find the zoom links for the pre-convention hearings?
Pat Hawkins - February 29, 2024
Jeanne, I’m sorry no one replied to your comment. I hope you were able to attend one of the meetings. If not, recordings of two of them are linked on this page: https://dioceseofnj.org/know_your_story/register-for-2024-pre-convention-meetings/.

Meg McKenna - February 2, 2024
I’m not able to attend tomorrow, Feb 3 — this weekend is our Vestry retreat that was scheduled months ago.
Are these meetings all different, or is it the same meeting at 4 different times so we choose one of them to attend?
Pat Hawkins - February 29, 2024
Meg, I’m sorry no one replied to your comment. The meetings provided all the same information so if you attended one you got all of the information. If needed, two of the recordings are posted at https://dioceseofnj.org/know_your_story/register-for-2024-pre-convention-meetings/.
Doug Post - February 28, 2024
