List of Persons Elected at the 2019 Diocesan Convention
Diocesan Convention is a time when representatives from around our diocese gather to share in the polity of the Church, upholding the common mission and ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ. All are welcome to join us as we worship, conduct business, view and listen to presentations.
The one-day convention will be held at the Crowne Plaza, 2349 Marlton Pike West, Cherry Hill, NJ 08002 on March 2, 2019.
Please Note: Voting Deputies and Clergy will be seated at tables at the front of the Grand Ballroom. All visitors may occupy the chairs towards the back of the Grand Ballroom.
Please proceed to the hallway outside the Grand Ballroom upon arrival to sign in and receive your convention materials.
Parishes should fill out and submit the attached form to certify their lay delegation and alternates to the Convention

Because of this year’s one-day convention format, the Trinity Cathedral Altar Guild Store will be selling via advance orders to be picked up at Convention. If there are items needed that are not listed please email Andrea John – trinitycathedralags@gmail.com or call 609-571-2133 for assistance. The orders can be paid via check or credit card in advance or cash on the day of Convention – March 2, 2019 when you’re picking up your merchandise.

A block of rooms has been secured through the Crowne Plaza, Cherry Hill for members who wish to remain in the area for the early start on Saturday. Clergy, deputies, visitors, and guests attending convention are expected to register online or download a form to complete that can be faxed to 609 394-8015 or mailed to 808 West State St., Trenton, NJ 08618-5326. Deadline to register and order meals for convention is February 14, 2019.

Exhibitor Registration is Now Open
The Opening Eucharist will be on Saturday, March 2 at 9:00 a.m. in the Grand Ballroom. Gluten-free wafers and grape juice will be available at marked stations. Interested choristers should contact Canon Deborah Ford at for details on how to participate.
Deputy Certification Form – canonical requirement:
Please fax or mail all names of deputies and alternates to Diocesan House on the form titled “Lay Deputy Certification.” The deadline is January 15, 2019 or within three days of your annual meeting. If your deputies and alternates are not on our certified master list, their convention packet will not include voting materials. Please remember to call Diocesan House with any changes after submitting names.
Your convention packet will include the following: Agenda, Site Layout, Rules of Order, The Budget, Constitution and Canons, Resolutions, Nominating Committee Report, Eucharist booklet, and ballots where applicable. All other reports will be posted on the diocesan website as they become available.
Banners: There will not be a banner procession this year. Please do not bring your banners.
Ushers: Volunteers to usher at the Eucharist and to help direct members are needed at the Crowne Plaza Saturday morning at convention. If you are willing and able to help, please email or call Ann Notte at anotte@dioceseofnj.org or 609 394-5281 ext. 41.
Registered Ushers must meet at the Crowne Plaza at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, for instruction on duties at the 9:00 a.m. Eucharist and other areas of convention.
Only Registered volunteers who have been contacted to work registration must attend an orientation on Friday, March 1, at 7:00 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza. Meeting Room TBD.
Oil Bottles: Clergy – please remember to bring your oil bottles to convention. They can be dropped in the baskets on the Handout and InformationTables.
