This two-hour summit designed specifically for faith-based groups, organizations, and outreach ministries, expands the narrative connected to homelessness, housing insecurity, and lifts housing as a human right. Developed and led by people with the lived experience of homelessness, social justice advocates, along with diversity, inclusion, and equity specialists, the summit provides guidance for movement beyond charity to advocacy supporting social change.
Participants Will:
- Explore individual and community myths, stereotypes, biases, prejudgments (prejudices) connected to poverty and homelessness.
- Discuss strategies that prevent homelessness and support those who have experienced homelessness, or who are at risk of homelessness.
- Identify how faith communities can be better allies and advocates for homeless rights and housing justice.
