Learn to Make Church Messy for Kids

Are you looking for a fun and creative way to share the love of Jesus with children in your community? If so, then you may be interested in attending a training event for Messy Church. Messy Church is an international program that seeks to provide an inclusive and welcoming environment for people of all ages to come together to experience God’s love through creativity, hospitality, and celebration.

According to their website, Messy Church is “a way of being church for families and others that involves fun” and “values creativity, hospitality and celebration.” Messy Church seeks to provide a safe and welcoming environment where people can explore their faith through various activities such as crafts, games, music, and storytelling. The program is designed to be accessible to people of all ages and backgrounds, and it seeks to provide an alternative way of experiencing church that is less formal and more engaging.

If you’re interested in learning more about Messy Church and how to start or revitalize a program at your church, then you’re invited to attend a training event sponsored by The Diocese of New Jersey. The training event will cover the building blocks of Messy Church, including the program’s five foundational values and four key components. Participants will also learn about table activities, mini Messy Church how-to basics, frequently asked questions, and next steps for getting started with Messy Church.

The training event will take place on Saturday, April 29, from 9 am to 3 pm. Lunch will be provided, and scholarships are available for those who need financial assistance. The cost for churches within Registration for people from the Diocese of New Jersey is $35 for individuals and $50 for teams of two to four people. Churches outside of the diocese can attend for $50 per individual or $75 for teams of two to four people.

To learn more about the training event or to register, please contact Cathy Brackin by email. We hope to see you there!
