Installation of Canons to Feature Choir Camp Reunion

On June 4 at 4:00 p.m., the diocese will honor all canons named by Bishop Stokes in 2020–2022 with a special evensong service at Trinity Cathedral. The choir for the service will be made up of alumni from the NJ Choir Camp.

Each year, the bishop names honorary canons of the cathedral, to recognize clergy and lay people for distinctive service to the diocese or the cathedral. The installation service has not been held in the past two years because of covid restrictions.

Choristers who wish to participate should reach out to Choir Director Mark Trautman via email or phone, 732.213.2155. Choristers will arrive at 3:00 p.m.

The repertoire for Saturday, June 4 is:

  • Plainsong responses from The Hymnal 1982
  • Psalm 16, Anglican chant by Joseph Barnby
  • George Dyson, Magnificat and Nunc dimittis in C minor
  • Barry Rose, “Risen Lord”
