Clergy Conference is Nov. 14–16

This year’s Diocesan Clergy Conference will once again be held at the Seaview Hotel in Galloway, with options to attend either in person or online. It begins at 4 p.m. on Nov. 14 and ends at 1 p.m. on Nov. 16.

The conference is always an excellent opportunity for clergy to learn, grow in the Spirit, and to develop connections with clergy across the diocese. This year’s special guest speaker is the Rev. Carrie Schofield-Broadbent, Canon to the Ordinary for Transition and Church Development in the Diocese of Central New York

Please register here:  Register Now!.  If you check off that you are attending virtually,  then watch for an email containing a link to attend by Zoom.

If you are a cleric who has children in your home on a regular basis, please fill out this survey for us to help us assess the need for childcare at this gathering.

About our Speaker,  The Rev. Carrie Schofield-Broadbent

The Rev. Carrie Schofield-Broadbent is an Episcopal priest serving as the Canon to the Ordinary for Transition and Church Development on the Bishop’s executive staff in the Diocese of Central New York. Carrie received a Bachelor’s degree in Peace and Conflict Studies with an emphasis in interpersonal and intragroup conflict resolution. She worked for several years before going to seminary as a conflict resolution trainer and consultant, mostly working in educational settings. In her work in the church, she has found that she hasn’t had to put those skills on the shelf. Carrie consults with clergy, lay leaders, vestries and congregations who are experiencing conflict.

Building on many years in parish ministry, Carrie also works with clergy and congregations in times of transition, and collaborates with the communities of faith to cultivate and grow dynamic, healthy, invitational congregations and ministries that are relevant to their contexts and deeply rooted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Carrie is a trainer with the College for Congregational Development and has studied with the Alban Institute, the Lombard Mennonite Peace Center, Fierce Conversations, the Interim Ministry Network, and Susan Beaumont and Associates.
