Nov. 23—Thanksgiving Blessings

Almighty and gracious God, we give you thanks for the fruits of the earth in their season and for the labors of those who harvest them. Make us, we pray, faithful stewards of your great bounty, for the provision of our necessities and the relief of all who are in need, to the glory of your Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Dear Friends,

As we celebrate today, I give thanks to God for each of you, for our congregations, clergy and lay leaders, and for the Diocese of New Jersey staff. If you are traveling this week, may God keep you safe in your journey, and no matter how you celebrate, may this day be an occasion for love, gratitude, and compassion. May you experience the abundance of God’s love today, and may you find ways to share that abundance with others.

With my prayers for a very Happy Thanksgiving!
