Raise Your Voice for Justice on March 2

Contributed by: Canon Clara Gregory, Catherine Ambos, and Father Jorge Martinez, ECS-NJ Advocacy Team

On March 2, 2024, the National Poor People’s Campaign is holding Mass Poor People’s and Low Wage Workers’ Statehouse Assemblies in 31+ state capitals across the country, and we encourage you to participate and encourage others to join you in the march to the New Jersey State House that day. The march will begin in Mill Hill Park in Trenton at 10 a.m.

More than 800 people die every day in this country from poverty. No more time can be wasted! Join ECS-NJ is raising your voice and taking action.

New Jersey’s leadership must hear directly from its people.

We will gather at Mill Hill Park at 9:30–10 a.m. We will begin marching at 10:30 a.m. to the statehouse annex where we will rally starting at 11 a.m..

This rally is not just about raising awareness; it is about taking tangible steps towards change. We need enduring activities to prevent poverty. Your presence will serve as an inspiration to others who may be hesitant or unsure about how they can contribute to fighting poverty. Together, we will ignite a spark of hope and determination that will ripple through New Jersey, encouraging others to join our cause. We need a 3rd Reconstruction.

Please download the flyer and share it widely. See you on March 2!
