Holy Family Laurel Springs—Congregation Profile

Contributed by: Elizabeth Murphy, Holy Family Laurel Springs

Part of a series of profiles of congregations across the Diocese. See more here. Submit your congregation’s profile here.

Holy Family is an active faith community. We assist our neighbors in need with our monthly “Essential Sacks” ministry which provides non-food necessities such as toilet paper, soap, detergent, etc. These items are not covered by governmental assistance so Holy Family helps fill in that gap.

“Messy Church” is out inter-generational worship experience. It’s faith, fun, family, and food. As part of an international ecumenical movement, Messy Church shares the Gospel through crafts and games, reaching both churched and unchurched families.

“God Talk” is a weekly Bible study in a topical format. Our priest, Carmen Viola, brings a unique perspective as he’s led tours of Israel multiple times.

Holy Family has an active ECW (Episcopal Church Women) that provides opportunities for community service and fellowship.

Our Mission: Our mission is simple: Love God, Love One Another, and journey together as open and humble students embracing all as God’s one Holy Family.
