The Reverend Trisha Thorme, Deacon, began serving as the Executive Director of ECS-NJ in June 2022 after almost two decades leading the integration of service and community engagement with academic coursework at Princeton University. Trained as an anthropologist, Deacon Trisha is passionate about using knowledge for social change and is excited to further the work of ECS-NJ to build a movement for Gospel justice in the Diocese of New Jersey through education, advocacy, fundraising, grantmaking, and prayer.
Deacon Trisha was ordained by Bishop Chip Stokes in 2015. Before serving at ECS-NJ she was a deacon at Holy Apostles’, Yardville, and the Episcopal Church at Princeton University. In the Diocese Deacon Trisha is a deputy to General Convention (2022 and 2024) and helps organize the Soles for the Harvest (Jubilee) 5K. In the past she convened the Global Goals Task Force and served on the Episcopal Search and Nomination Committee. She loves God, nature, running, cooking, reading, and living with her husband and son in Easton, PA.
