Made ready for Lent by enjoying a feast of Venezuelan foods catered by Lorena Ruiz. It’s a fundraiser for the church.
Take away boxes available! The luncheon is preceded by the Holy Eucharist in English at 10 a.m. and in Spanish at 1:00 p.m.
Menu:
Venezuelan Chinese Rice With Salad: Sautéed rice in soy sauce, smoked pork chop, chicken and sausage, accompanied by potato salad.
Arepas with Pernil: Arepas are a typical dish in Venezuela, made from corn flour, which is then baked and filled with pork cooked in red wine.
Macaronada: It is the Venezuelan version of the traditional Lasagna, in addition to meat, it is filled with ham and cooked potato, accompanied by garlic bread.
Chicken Scramble: Pieces of chicken coated in breadcrumbs that are cooked in a tomato sauce, olives and raisins accompanied by white rice.
Dessert: Rice Pudding and Tres Leches Cake Drinks are included.
