In order to support youth ministry in the Diocese of New Jersey grant money is set aside to provide funding for programs and efforts meant to reach and engage young people. The kind of programs eligible can vary widely, but each of them should work toward the shared diocesan vision of forming people as disciples of Jesus Christ so they can carry out God’s mission of reconciliation in the world. Although it is not required, some preference is given to plans that engage multiple parishes or groups and build connections and relationships between young people in the diocesan community. To this end we welcome joint applications as well as those from individual churches.
Currently applications are reviewed by a committee and awards are made on a rolling basis. Any questions can be directed to the Diocesan Youth Conveners – youth@dioceseofnj.org.
