Supply Clergy Rates

Updated November 10, 2025

Are you a priest open to supply work? If so, email [email protected] to request to be added to the list.

Requests for a supply priest can be made by filling out the form found here.

The 2025 IRS mileage rate is reimbursable at $0.70 per mile (up 3 cents from the 2024 rate of 67 cents per mile). The rates apply to electric and hybrid-electric vehicles, as well as gasoline and diesel-powered vehicles. (Supply priests are responsible for informing the church in advance of reimbursable tolls and mileage.)

Supply Rates: Please note that these are “minimum rates,” but there is room for negotiation with the church when a Saturday Service is included. Congregations are expected to pay the priest no later than the conclusion of the final service that day.

Minimum rates as of January 1, 2025

Mileage: $0.70
$225—one service
$325—two services
$425—three services
$120—weekday rates
$325 for each service of Holy Week Triduum of services ($325 for each day’s service on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, including Easter Eve/Great Vigil service, while Easter Day services follow regular Sunday rates)
$430-650 negotiable for a wedding including preparation and rehearsal
$360 for a funeral including planning

The calculation of such fees results in at least an hourly minimum of $40. Other current stipulations and mileage rates continue to apply for supply clergy.

  • $275—one weekend service
  • $355—two services
  • $435—three services
