Close to 100 people came together this past weekend for the diocese’s annual Discipleship Conference: Equipping the Saints for Ministry.
As the name implies, the focus of the conference was to help give lay people tools to help them in their individual growth as ministers of the word of God.
Keynote speaker Jerusalem Greer, Manager of Evangelism and Discipleship for The Episcopal Church, addressed the group twice, once at the in-person fellowship dinner Friday evening and once in the online conference on Saturday.
Her Saturday keynote address to the group—”Wonderfully Made: Pathways to Sacred Wholeness”—looked at ways we can focus on our personal discipleship as tools for helping others grow as disciples.
