Stretching Out Our Arms of Love to the World

Contributed by: The Rev. Trisha Thorme, Deacon

We are excited to present a session at the upcoming Discipleship Conference on February 12. In our presentation, we will offer models, ideas, and tools to help you and your parish show Christ’s love through an embrace that encircles the world. We’ll talk about the state of the world and consider what a Christian response should look like. From there we’ll consider specific ideas appropriate to individual context and interests—whether that is a one-time event or program or the creation of a new international partnership. Easy-to-use resources for all ages from Episcopal Relief and Development will be showcased, and members of the Global Goals Task Force will be on hand to brainstorm and share their experiences from leading campaigns on issues such as education, clean water, disaster relief, and eradicating poverty. Join us for Session 5 (beginning at 1:25 pm) to learn more!
