For almost 300 years, historic St. George’s Episcopal Church has been an integral part of the community of Pennsville Township. St. George’s Episcopal Church is a friendly, welcoming parish. We are located on North Broadway in Pennsville, New Jersey. We invite you to visit with us to hear the word of the Lord and share in the fellowship of Christ. Our church has a number of dedicated people; our altar guild is a group of women and men who serve the Lord by preparing the altar for Sunday services. Our Outreach Committee collects food and distributes it to the needy. Our Acolytes help the priest during services, and our Sunday School and children and youth are always there to help out with special events and projects in the church. We are blessed to have faithful people who share their talents with the church. We are thankful for their dedication to Christ. St. George’s has several events during the year. We participate in the Community Lenten Services along with several other churches throughout the area. Our Easter Eve Service, The Great Vigil of Easter, is the most important service of the church year. Along with St. Ambrose Lutheran Church in Pennsville, we have Bible School, a week-long event for children of the area. Our children always enjoy our annual Halloween party, held in the parish hall, and our Christmas bazaar in November is known far and wide for the great array of crafts and food. We also have a chicken barbecue in May. As you can see, there is a lot going on at St. George’s Church. So if you are visiting our area, or are looking for a place to worship and feel close to God, stop by and visit us. You are welcome!
