Dear Sisters and Brothers of the Diocese of New Jersey:
Greetings. As you may be aware this past Sunday, October 24, all of our Convocations met at various hours to elect one clergy and one lay representative to be on the Bishop Search and Nomination Committee. I am pleased to say that those meetings were held successfully and want to share with all of you who was elected.

Congratulations to the new committee and thank you to all who were willing to stand for election.
The Committee will next meet via Zoom to get to know each other, lay out a timetable, and—following Canon 9 section 3—look for 6 additional members to ensure that the Committee is representative of the entire Diocese.
They will then meet as a whole in early December to begin their work.
The Standing Committee continues to seek nominations/recommendations for people to serve on the Transition Committee. Please email me any person you believe would be an asset to the Committee, including yourself.
