Help Displaced Ukrainians Fleeing for Safety

Contributed by: The Rev. Ellen C. Rutherford, Afghan Refugee Resettlement Task Force Convenor

More than a million Ukrainians have fled their homeland in the wake of Russia’s invasion, and many others have sought safety in Ukraine. Both those who have crossed into neighboring countries and those who remain are facing devastating consequences. This war is producing a massive humanitarian crisis. As our Bishop suggested in his Convention address, consider making a donation to Episcopal Relief and Development, which is working with ACT Alliance and partner Episcopal and Anglican churches in Europe. You can also stay updated on advocacy opportunities through the International Rescue Committee, a global humanitarian organization that recently partnered with ERD and Episcopal Migration Ministries in the Afghan refugee response.
