Our Diocese of New Jersey Afghan Resettlement Task Force is asking for churches and groups to locally collect VISA General gifts cards, preferably in $50 segments for our local Afghan refugees being resettled.
The need is great. We are making this push until Thanksgiving and ask that each church or group send the cards directly to Interfaith-RISE, with whom we are working.
Please calculate how much your church or group is sending and let the Afghan Resettlement Task Force know by emailing Chase Danford. Please bear in mind that we will not email or text you asking for gift cards. You collect and then you send what you’ve collected! We know there are many needs out there and that we are all doing our best!
