2nd Annual Discipleship Conference: Equipping the Saints for Ministry

Friday, 5:30–8:30 p.m.: In-Person (and livestreamed) keynote address and fellowship dinner
Saturday, 9:00–a.m.–4:00 p.m.: Conference program live online
The Discipleship Conference Committee is seeking presenters (clergy and lay) for a variety of sessions for this upcoming 2nd annual diocesan-wide event. How can we, here in the Diocese of New Jersey, equip ourselves and others for lifelong ministry as disciples of Jesus Christ? Interested presenters should consider the details below and submit a prospectus.
Session Details:

- Topics: presentations and panel discussions on discipleship can include but are not limited to faith formation (all ages and stages); faith practices; creation care; stewardship; social justice; and other areas of God’s mission in the world. Consider individual discipleship as well as those tasked with the formation of discipleship in others.
- Format: Friday evening will be in-person at the cathedral, with a keynote address and a fellowship dinner. The keynote will be livestreamed for those who which to attend online. Saturday’s program of presentations will be online only.
- Length: Each session will be one hour, including Q&A and any activities.
- Focusing Scripture: “The gifts he gave were that some would be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until all of us come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to maturity, to the measure of the full stature of Christ.” Ephesians 4:11-13
