On Nov. 12, the diocese will gather at Trinity Cathedral in Trenton for a confirmation service open to all candidates from churches in our diocese. The names of those being presented must be submitted to the Rev. Canon Valerie Balling by next Friday, Nov. 4.
According to An Episcopal Dictionary of the Church:
Those who were baptized at an early age and those baptized as adults without laying on of hands by a bishop are expected to make a mature public affirmation of their faith, recommit themselves to the responsibilities of their baptism, and receive laying on of hands by a bishop.
We will hold the Fall Diocesan-wide Confirmation at Trinity Cathedral on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 10:00 a.m. Contact Canon Valerie Balling by Nov. 4 with the names of those you will be presenting for Confirmation, Reception, or Reaffirmation of Faith.
