Located in Historic Flemington New Jersey, Calvary is a multi-generational congregation actively serving the larger Hunterdon County community. The first service was preached in 1836 and since then the church and its congregation have been a staple of the community. Calvary is small in size but big in heart, wanting to be that beacon of God’s love not only to our fellow parishioners but to the community. Our love of Jesus resulted in our committing to and broadcasting through Facebook, morning prayer, Monday – Friday at 10AM. We have a Youth Group who provides regular donations of over 700 lbs of milk and non-perishable items to the local Food Pantry. Our Outreach program supports the Seamen’s Church Institute of Newark each November by setting up a time, visiting the facility, and making as many “ditty” bags as supplies allow. Calvary has just recently partnered with Family of Promise of Hunterdon County to provide dedicated resources for their program. Calvary believes in the concept that “our red doors are always open”, and that we are “the Episcopal Arm of the Jesus Movement.”

Our Mission: Rooted in the vision of the Kingdom of Heaven, Calvary Church’s Mission is:

  • To joyfully welcome all people
  • To grow in faith together through nurture, education, and worship
  • To reach into the larger community to effectively proclaim God’s kingdom through word and deed.
