Join Ashes to Go on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 22
“Ashes to Go” is a way of taking church to the streets, meeting people in the midst of daily life with a moment of grace. Each year on Ash Wednesday, clergy and congregants throughout the diocese go out to the people to administer ashes at train stations, coffee shops, shopping malls, hospitals, street corners, anywhere busy people are. As he’s done in the past, Bishop Stokes will be imposing ashes at the Trenton Transit Center. We will livestream from multiple Ashes to Go sites around the state, broadcasting to social media and to live.dioceseofnj.org If you’re participating, please let us know using the form below. We’ll include you on an Ashes to Go map and information we’ll send to the news media and the public. We will also send you postcards with information about Ash Wednesday and Lenten prayers you can share with those who participate. On Ash Wednesday, be sure to take lots of pictures and video and post to social media. Use the hashtags #DioceseofNJ and #AshestoGo so we can follow your adventures.Resources
