A Letter of Thanks from St. Elizabeth’s

Contributed by: Fr. Andy Moore and Fr. Robin Pierre, St. Elizabeth Church, Elizabeth

Dear Diocesan family,

Father Robin Pierre and the vestry and members of St. Elizabeth’s Church extend our deepest gratitude to you for your wonderful generosity in support of our hurricane relief efforts and of Father Pierre in the loss of all of his possessions when his apartment flooded.

St. Paul, in his ministry to the early church, often wrote letters seeking support and in gratitude for support received. He wrote:

“You Philippians indeed know that in the early days of the gospel, when I left Macedonia, no church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving, except you alone.” (Philippians 4:15)

In our case, others have also provided support for which we are extremely grateful. But your support stands out not only because of its generosity, but also because you chose to give to us even though you were ministering to the many people in your own community who were deeply impacted by the floods.

Kindly extend our gratitude to the Bishop Chip and his staff, all clergy, wardens, vestry, and the whole Diocese  of New Jersey. You are true neighbors to us in Elizabeth.

Blessings and Gratitude,

Frs. Andy & Robin
