We cordially invite you to join us for our second annual Pride Celebration in the Diocese of NJ! This year it will be on Sunday, June 11th, at St. George’s in Rumson, beginning at 4 pm with a reception to follow! The Rev. Micah Cronin will be preaching and a newly ordained priest, the Rev. Ayden Petrone, will be our celebrant. We will welcome both Bishop Stokes and Bishop-elect French who plan to be with us.
This year our theme will be “Celebrating ALL of God’s Beloved Children.” As you may know, there has been an increase in hostility and even legislation against the LGBTQIA+ communities, especially members of the trans communities. Even here in New Jersey, a member of the diocese was recently “misgendered” and harassed at an event. We must not fail to stand with and protect all of God’s children, those in the church and those not in the church, who face discrimination for who they are and who they love. We’d love to see you wear the colors of the rainbow to help us celebrate. Also, bring your parish banner if you’d like to carry them in procession. Join us afterward for a reception. All are welcome!
We hope you will join us in person, or online here.
