Preacher: The Rev. C. Thomas Hayes, Ret.
The Rev. Christopher T. Hayes III (Tom) is a native of central Virginia, having grown up on a dairy farm. He attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University where he received a B.A. in Arts and Sciences. He served in the US Air Force and flew ANG fighter jets. He flew for Pan American World Airways. He attended Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry earning a Master of Divinity. He served as rector, assistant rector, priest-in-charge and interim rector in several churches in Virginia, Texas and New York. He is retired, living in Culpepper, VA, with Julie, his wife of 55 years.They have three sons and four granddaughters. He loves to preach and celebrate the Holy Eucharist. His hobbies include fishing, hunting, wood-work and traveling, as well as spending time with family and friends. Tom has been in recovery for more than 30 years.
