Opioid Addiction and the Hope in Recovery
April 7 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pmFree
Do you know someone struggling with opioid addiction? Did you know this is a painful and destructive disease in our own community? The NJ Office of the Chief State Medical Examiner saw 2,750 overdose deaths in 2017. In 2018 there were 3118 suspected drug deaths in NJ with 52 in Somerset County (njcares.gov). On Sunday April 7th, St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Gladstone will host a Recovery Sunday to facilitate awareness of this disease. Join us at a forum at 11am to hear from representatives of the Recovery Ministries of the Diocese of New Jersey and the organization Community in Crisis. Learn about the disease, prevention education, and resources for those struggling with addiction and their families. Through awareness and support we break the stigma of addiction and provide hope in recovery. St. Luke’s is located at 182 Main St, Gladstone, NJ. For more information, call the office at 908-234-0002 or visit the website at www.stlukesgladstone.org.
