Please Join Us for Dinner Friday, October 21, 2016 / 6:30 pm Trinity Church, Princeton Special Guest Speaker: Professor Morton Winston Morton Winston is Professor of Philosophy and (former) Chair of the Department of Philosophy, Religion, and Classical Studies at The College of New Jersey. His areas of specialization include human rights theory, political philosophy, ethics, and the philosophy of technology. Professor Winston’s most recent books are On Chomsky (2001) and Society, Ethics, and Technology, 5th Edition (2013). Dr. Winston has received three Fulbright Scholarships: South Africa (1992), Thailand (1999) and Denmark (2007) where he was the Danish Distinguished Chair of Human Rights and International Relations at the Danish Institute for Human Rights. In addition to his academic career Dr. Winston has a long career as a human rights activist. He is the founding chair of Amnesty International USA’s Business and Human Rights Group and served as chairman of the board of directors of Amnesty International USA. Dr. Winston attended Swarthmore College, graduating with Phi Beta Kappa. He received an M.A. in cognitive psychology and a Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Illinois. He is married to Dr. Sally Winston and they have three adult daughters. Sit, relax, and break bread with folks from your community. Conversation is encouraged! Our meals are offered as “donate what you can” on the third Friday of the month, ten months per year. All net proceeds this year will benefit the Trinity Church Hunger Fund whose beneficiaries are: Mercer Street Friends, Trenton Area Soup Kitchen, Bread for the World and Episcopal Relief & Development. One Table Café is a community supported restaurant where all are welcome regardless of race, gender, country of origin, religion, sexual orientation or ability to pay. Dinner is served by an all-volunteer staff and dress is casual. Children are welcome.
