The newly reformed diocesan Youth Council had its first meeting on October 14! We talked about planning an event in the future and hopefully the details will pop up sometime in the upcoming months. The future meeting dates of the council were also discussed and dates all the way through January were planned. Adding on to our plans, a trip to Kentucky for the General Convention next year in June of 2024 is in the works! We are also focusing on ways to improve communication between the Youth Council and the youth of the church. Toward the end of our meeting, we also did an insightful leadership activity to hone in what skills we like, think we already possess, and think we can improve on. Overall, the first meeting was a wild success, and we are all looking forward to getting together again for the next meeting!
Youth Council will meet again on November 18 and January 6 so please mark your calendars. Meetings will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the conference room at the back of Diocesan House. All are welcome.
