On Ash Wednesday, March 6, the Episcopal Diocese of New Jersey will offer Ashes to Go, a special program about bringing spirit, belief, and belonging out from behind church doors and into the places where we go every day. It’s a simple event with deep meaning, drawing on centuries of tradition and worship to provide a contemporary moment of grace.
Teams of clergy and laity from parishes throughout the diocese will be participating on Ash Wednesday in public locations such as transit centers, places of business, and more. This year, clergy and laypersons from more than 30 congregations will be at locations statewide, offering ashes, blessings, and information about the Diocese and the Episcopal Church.
For more information, please see the national Ashes to Go website.
Below is list of locations near you, with turn-by-turn directions powered by Google; we’ll be updating the list as Ash Wednesday approaches.
