On Ash Wednesday, February 14, 2018, the Episcopal Diocese of New Jersey will offer Ashes to Go, a special program about bringing spirit, belief, and belonging out from behind church doors and into the places where we go every day. It’s a simple event with deep meaning, drawing on centuries of tradition and worship to provide a contemporary moment of grace.
Teams of clergy and laity from parishes throughout the diocese will be participating on Ash Wednesday in public locations such as transit centers, places of business, and more. This year, clergy and laypersons from over 30 congregations will be present at over 30 locations statewide, offering ashes, blessings and information about the Diocese and the Episcopal Church.
For more information, please see the national Ashes to Go website.
Below is list of locations near you for 2018, with turn-by-turn directions powered by Google; more locations will be added throughout the day on Tuesday, February 13. Please check back after 5 PM for the full list!
